Inspiring Futures Through Education
Otjikondo School Village Foundation is a registered welfare organisation in north-west Namibia, dedicated to providing quality education and opportunities for children aged 6–14. More than just a school, Otjikondo is a thriving village where students from diverse backgrounds live, learn, and grow together.
With a focus on academic excellence, creativity, and personal development, Otjikondo nurtures each child’s potential, ensuring they leave with the skills for a successful future. Many go on to high school, university, and fulfilling careers, while all carry lifelong memories and a strong sense of community.
Volunteers from around the world enrich daily life, supporting art, music, sports, and hands-on activities that develop the “whole child.” Through dedication and vision, Otjikondo continues to empower young minds, proving that a single step forward can change lives.
Otjikondo Success Stories
Our success is not measured by the number of pupils who go on to study at university but rather by the knowledge that we offer every child the chance of a fulfilling future.
Otjikondo Primary has consistently scored well above regional and national averages in national SATs examinations in Mathematics and English. For three consecutive years our school has won prizes for having the most successful Primary School Teacher, based on the Grade 7 final results. These achievements are particularly outstanding, considering that many of our pupils arrive at school not speaking English and never having been to kindergarten.
