Founded with a vision to provide children from diverse backgrounds with a well-rounded education, Otjikondo has become a beacon of opportunity in the remote northwest of Namibia. With over 240 children between the ages of 6 and 14, Otjikondo is more than just a school—it’s a community. It’s a place where children are empowered to reach their full potential, learn vital skills, and build a future beyond the challenges they may face.

For more than 50 years, Otjikondo has been nurturing the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of its students. The school’s motto, “A Single Step Forward,” reflects the journey each child undertakes—one small step that leads to a lifetime of possibilities. Through a combination of strong academics, extracurricular activities, and volunteer support, Otjikondo provides an environment where each child is encouraged to thrive. With dedicated staff, committed volunteers, and a solid foundation of educational values, the school has become an example of excellence in the region.
